About Me

My Experience

I have a total of 30 years experience in education; teaching health/physical education at the middle school level for 22 years and a student advisor for 8 years. As a student advisor, I worked with a team of teachers and supervised approximately 230 sixth grade students. I also have over 10 years experience with Trauma Informed practices, Social Emotional Learning, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support ,behavioral and academic interventions. In July 2020, I retired from the Red Clay School District.

My Background

I received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Health and Physical Education from Livingstone College and a Masters of Science degree in Health and Physical Education from Indiana University, Bloomington.

Since 2014 I have maintained certification as a certified trauma professional.

Personal

When I'm not working with clients, I enjoy music, reading and spending time with my husband and two adult children.

Intro Consultation

I offer a complimentary 30 minute service to meet with potential clients, to determine their needs,

After this initial consultation, I will follow up to recommend appropriate services.

Professional Development

Professional development is available for organizations, day cares, public, private and charter schools. Topics can include but not limited to trauma informed practices, building support systems and social emotional learning.

Family Support

Affordable hourly sessions are available to give clients guidance, techniques and strategies in supporting their children in a variety of settings. Topics can include but not limited to task productivity, parenting and social emotional learning.
